Good landscaping quotes are usually won or lost on scope clarity. The visit detail matters: measurements, access, materials, waste, sequencing, and the optional extras the customer is still deciding on.
1. Capture the site visit properly
- Measurements, levels, and access constraints.
- Existing materials to remove or protect.
- Customer priorities, budget signals, and any staged options.
2. Separate the quote clearly
- Labour, supplied materials, and waste removal.
- Optional planting, turf, edging, fencing, or phased extras.
- Assumptions and exclusions that affect final scope.
3. Keep the quote readable
If the customer cannot tell what is included, what is optional, and what depends on access or supply, the quote becomes harder to compare and slower to approve.
4. Follow up with the original context
Once the quote is sent, keep the original visit detail visible so you can answer questions and follow up consistently without rebuilding the job from memory.
